Biography
John S. Hekman’s areas of expertise include antitrust, real estate,and finance. He has testified in federal and state courts on such matters as price fixing, patent infringement, trade secrets, real estate finance, and general economic damages. Dr. Hekman has conducted research involving such industries as oil and gas, steel, paper and wood products, and computers. In addition, he has published a number of articles in the areas of real estate finance and industry studies. Dr. Hekman was formerly an economist with the Federal Reserve and associate professor of finance at the University of North Carolina. He holds a PhD in economics and a MBA from the University of Chicago.
