Biography
John L Peterman has taught at the University of Virginia and the University of Chicago law schools. He is a recognized expert on antitrust. He has written a number of widely cited papers on antitrust and participated in guiding antitrust policy at the FTC for over 15 years. Mr Peterman served as the director of the Bureau of Economics for the FTC for many of those years. While at the FTC, he also worked closely with the antitrust division of the Department of Justice and with other federal and state agencies. Mr Peterman consults in the areas of antitrust, intellectual property, and consumer protection.
