LECG Strengthens European Telecom and Antitrust Expertise

London, United Kingdom, April 11, 2005 – LECG (NASDAQ: XPRT), a provider of expert services of economics and finance, today announced that two experts, Dr Leonard Waverman and Mr Benoit Reillier, have joined its expanding European practice. Based out of the LECG London office, Dr Waverman will focus on competition policy/antitrust and regulatory strategy issues and will work closely with Mr Reillier, whose expertise lies in strategy consulting in the telecoms sector.

Dr Leonard Waverman, director, has consulted on competition policy/antitrust and regulatory matters for over 30 years. He has extensive research, teaching, and consulting experience in North America and Europe. He has worked around the world and has appeared before antitrust commissions as well as courts. He has testified most recently at the Court of First Instance in Luxembourg and at the Conseil de la Concurrence in Paris. As a former Canadian regulator in energy and telecoms, and a current non-executive Board member of the United Kingdom energy regulator, he adds his broad experience to the telecoms practice at LECG. He is a member of the IBA and speaks regularly at both its antitrust and telecoms conferences. Dr Waverman holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a master's degree in economics and a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Toronto. He is also presently a professor and the chair of the economics department at London Business School. Dr Waverman’s most recent study at LECG focuses on the relationship between mobile phones and economic growth in the developing world.
Benoit Reillier, principal, has acquired wide international business experience over the past 10 years through his work for a number of strategy consulting firms, as well as regulators and operators. Prior to LECG, Mr Reillier was a director of Launchworks and a business development director of Telia Mobile International UK. He has also held various positions as a management consultant. He has worked extensively on market entry strategies and regulation in the telecoms sector advising the boards and senior management teams of broadband, mobile, and internet companies. Mr Reillier also worked for two years under the aegis of the French Government as a special advisor on telecoms related issues. He holds a bachelor of science degree in management and a master’s degree in computer sciences from Institut National des Telecommunications in Paris, as well as MBAs from both the London Business School and Columbia University in New York.
