LECG Appoints Former Andersen Transfer Pricing Experts to Expand European Capabilities

LONDON, UK, May 7, 2003 – Global consultancy firm, LECG, recently appointed former
Andersen senior international tax partner, Richard Fletcher, to head up its European transfer
pricing practice in its London offices. Dr. Stephanie Pantelidaki and Darren Andrews join
Fletcher at LECG. Pantelidaki is a Senior Economist, and former manager in Deloitte &
Touche's transfer pricing group, and Andrews is a former Deloitte & Touche Senior Associate.
Further hires are expected to support LECG’s continued growth.

LECG’s recent hires demonstrate the increasing trend of specialist tax advisers and economists
leaving the Big Four accounting firms for smaller niche consultancies as perceived conflicts of
interest and Sarbanes-Oxley type legislation force clients to review their consultancy providers.
Chris Osborne, Managing Director and former Head of Economic and Financial Consulting at
Andersen said, " We are very pleased to welcome Richard Fletcher and his team to LECG to
add to our existing capabilities. With the current trend of multi-disciplinary professional service
firms struggling with issues of client conflicts and independence, companies are increasingly
using smaller niche consultancies for business and tax consultancy. Transfer pricing, in
particular, represents an important area where LECG’s traditional strength in economic and
financial analysis can be combined with expertise in international tax.”

Fletcher added, "I am very excited about joining LECG. We are increasingly seeing countries
modernise their transfer pricing legislation – similar to the UK, where the combination of
documentation requirements within the framework of legislation and the potential for tax
planning, leading to a higher level of scrutiny by the Inland Revenue, have made transfer pricing
one of the most important areas of business and tax consultancy."

LECG has transfer pricing capabilities in a number of countries, particularly in the US, where
respected economist, Dr. Mukesh Bajaj, leads the transfer pricing practice.
