Biography

Dr Richard Schmalensee, a director in the Cambridge office, is the dean and professor of economics and management of the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr Schmalensee is an expert on regulation, antitrust, and environmental policy. He served as a member of the President's Council of Economic Advisors from 1989 to 1991 and as deputy dean of the Sloan School from 1996 to 1998. Dr Schmalensee holds a PhD in economics and a BS in economics, politics, and science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
