Biography
Tony Samuel joined LECG in March 2008 as leader of its forensic services practice in Australia. He has more than 20 years of post-qualification accounting experience, including 15 years with disputes, valuations, and intellectual property (IP) matters. Tony’s focus is on the provision of expert accountancy and valuation services in commercial disputes and IP disputes.
Based in London from October 1994 through August 2004, Tony was admitted to partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 1998 in its forensic services practice. During that period he was instructed in numerous matters across a range of industries, but mostly in large telecommunications disputes and in IP disputes. He has testified in the Federal Court of Australia, the NSW Supreme Court, the SA Supreme Court, the High Court in the UK, the Southern District of New York, the High Court in Singapore, arbitrations in Switzerland, Queensland and New Zealand, and in the UK Copyright Tribunal.
Tony was admitted to PwC’s Australian partnership in October 2004 in its dispute analysis and investigations practice, where he continued to take instructions in commercial and IP disputes. He then established a forensic services team at CRA International in January 2006 before joining LECG.
